EPIC developed this load for serious predator hunters looking to maximize the capabilities of the 12-gauge platform.
The combination of a heavy 2 oz TSS payload, extremely dense 18.1 g/cc pellets, EPIC's Full-Protection Wad and our double-buffer system is designed to produce dense, uniform patterns with substantial downrange energy.
Depending on shot size and applicable hunting regulations, this load can be configured for hunting applications including coyotes, foxes, bobcats and other appropriate game or predators.
For larger game such as deer or hogs, hunters must use ammunition, shot sizes and hunting methods permitted by applicable regulations and appropriate for the intended game.
WHY EPIC ULTRA-ROUND TSS?
Not all TSS loads are built the same.
EPIC starts with premium 18.1 g/cc Tungsten Super Shot and places an emphasis on pellet geometry and consistency.
Our Ultra-Round TSS is selected to provide consistent pellet shape, helping the shot column maintain predictable flight characteristics and supporting the dense patterns demanded from a premium predator load.
The density of TSS also allows significantly more downrange energy to be retained from comparatively small pellets than conventional lower-density shot materials.
DOUBLE NON-ABSORBENT BUFFER
A major part of the EPIC Predator system is our specialized Non-Absorbent Buffer.
These custom Predator loads receive a double dose of buffer designed to help stabilize the heavy 2 oz shot column and reduce pellet movement within the payload.
The goal is simple:
PROTECT THE PAYLOAD. CONTROL THE SHOT COLUMN. BUILD CONSISTENT PATTERNS.
Because the buffer is non-absorbent, it is also designed to resist moisture absorption that could otherwise affect the loaded shell over time.
FULL-PROTECTION WAD
Our Predator TSS loads feature a Full-Protection Wad specifically selected for use with the extremely dense tungsten payload.
The wad provides a protective barrier between the TSS and the barrel while helping control the shot column during acceleration.
When you're launching 2 oz of 18.1 g/cc TSS, wad design, buffer and payload construction all become critical parts of the complete system.
