EPIC Shotshell developed this load around 1 1/4 oz of Zinc-Plated Magnum Steel Shot, carefully selected components and our TRUE Magnum Steel Shot Wad.
The zinc-plated pellets are designed to provide a clean, consistent shot surface, while the wad system helps control and protect the payload as it travels through the barrel.
The result is a modern 3" steel load developed around consistent patterns, pellet distribution and dependable waterfowl performance.
EPIC TRUE MAGNUM STEEL SHOT WAD
This load features EPIC's TRUE Magnum Steel Shot Wad, specifically selected for the demands of a heavy 1 1/4 oz steel payload.
The wad is designed to help protect the barrel while controlling the steel payload through the firing process, promoting consistent pellet distribution and increased pattern density downrange.
Paired with EPIC Zinc-Plated Magnum Steel Shot, it's an important part of what makes this load different.
BUILT TO PATTERN
In EPIC testing, this load produced 88%+ patterns inside a 30" circle at 30 yards using multiple choke combinations.
The load was developed to provide consistent pellet distribution across the pattern, making it especially effective across the 20- to 55-yard range where many waterfowl opportunities occur.
Actual pattern performance and effective range will vary by shotgun, choke, shot size, conditions and the shooter's individual setup. Always pattern your shotgun before hunting.
LOWER CHAMBER PRESSURE
During EPIC testing and development, this load produced chamber pressures up to 25% lower than other loads tested, while maintaining its 1,400 FPS velocity and 1 1/4 oz payload.
That combination allows EPIC to balance velocity, payload, pattern performance and manageable recoil without simply chasing maximum pressure.
