WHY COPPER IN A 28 GAUGE?

The 28 gauge is all about balance.

You want enough pellets to build a dense pattern, sufficient velocity and downrange performance, and a payload that allows the 28 gauge to remain what hunters love about it in the first place.

That's where Copper King comes in.

Copper's density allows EPIC to produce a high pellet count without requiring the heavier payload associated with some other non-toxic alternatives.

With 7/8 oz of Terminal Copper Shot at 1,500 FPS, Copper King was engineered to give the 28-gauge hunter an impressive combination of:

• High pellet count

• High velocity

• Dense pattern potential

• Excellent downrange performance

• Non-toxic shot

• Premium 28-gauge performance

1,500 FPS HIGH VELOCITY

This isn't an ordinary 28-gauge load.

Copper King launches its 7/8 oz Terminal Copper payload at 1,500 FPS, giving hunters a fast, purpose-built non-toxic option for their 28 gauge.

That velocity, combined with our specialized pellet design and EXTended Range Wad, creates a load built around speed, pattern density and dependable performance in the field.

THE EPIC TERMINAL COPPER PELLET

Copper King isn't simply conventional round copper shot.

EPIC's Terminal Copper Pellet incorporates purpose-built features designed around both flight and terminal performance.

ULTRA-POLISHED 99.9% COPPER

The smooth, consistent exterior is designed to promote stable flight and uniform patterns.

BALLISTIC SATURN CUTTING RING

A circumferential ring is engineered into the pellet as part of EPIC's Terminal Pellet design.

DUAL DEAD ZONES

Located at the top and bottom of the pellet, the Dual Dead Zones are another integral part of the Terminal Copper Pellet's design.

HIGH-TENSILE COPPER CONSTRUCTION

Copper King uses a durable copper pellet designed to maintain its integrity during the firing cycle and upon impact.

THE EPIC EXTended RANGE WAD

The pellet is only half the story.

EPIC's EXTended Range Wad was specifically selected to complement the Copper King payload and help produce the dense, uniform patterns we wanted from this high-velocity 28-gauge load.

The goal is simple:

More pellets where they matter.

PATTERN PERFORMANCE

In EPIC testing, Copper King has produced 96%+ patterns inside a 30" circle at 30 yards with multiple choke combinations.*

That's the kind of pattern performance we wanted when developing a premium high-velocity load for the 28 gauge.

*Pattern performance varies by firearm, barrel, choke and individual load. Always pattern your shotgun with the ammunition and choke combination you intend to hunt with.

STRAIGHT OR BLENDED SHOT

Choose the payload that best fits your hunting application:

Straight Loads

• #5 Copper

• #6 Copper

Blended Load

• #4 / #6 Copper Blend

Our blended option combines multiple pellet sizes within the same payload, giving hunters another way to tailor pellet count and downrange performance to their particular hunting application.

YEARS IN DEVELOPMENT

EPIC began researching and developing Copper King in 2023.

Our goal wasn't simply to introduce another non-toxic shotshell.

We wanted to develop a completely different approach to non-toxic ammunition—combining a purpose-built copper pellet, specialized wad system, high velocity and premium components into a load worthy of the EPIC name.

COPPER KING

A new generation of non-toxic performance.

IMPORTANT

Always use ammunition appropriate for your firearm and follow the firearm manufacturer's recommendations regarding ammunition and choke compatibility.

If you have an older firearm, contact EPIC or a qualified gunsmith before using modern ammunition.

Hunters are responsible for confirming that the ammunition, shot material and shot size selected are legal for the species, location and hunting method involved.
