BUILT TO PATTERN
EPIC developed this load around a heavy 1 3/8 oz High Tensile Bismuth payload and our purpose-built TRUE Magnum Wad.
The combination is designed to provide increased pattern density downrange while still producing a uniform, usable pattern at closer distances.
In EPIC testing, this load produced 87%+ patterns inside a 30" circle at 30 yards using multiple choke-tube combinations.
Actual pattern performance will vary by shotgun, choke, shot size and load configuration. Always pattern your individual setup to determine what your shotgun prefers.
EPIC TRUE MAGNUM WAD
At the heart of this load is EPIC's TRUE Magnum Wad.
The wad is specifically paired with our heavy 1 3/8 oz Bismuth payload to help control and protect the shot column as it travels through the barrel.
The goal is consistent pellet distribution, increased pattern density and repeatable performance across the varying distances encountered while waterfowl hunting.
FROM THE DECOYS TO LONGER OPPORTUNITIES
This shell was developed to provide versatile pattern performance across a wide range of hunting situations.
It particularly excels across approximately the 20- to 50-yard range, where its combination of High Tensile Bismuth and EPIC's TRUE Magnum Wad helps distribute pellets consistently throughout the pattern.
The original load was also developed and tested for performance beyond 60 yards. Actual effective range will vary considerably depending on shotgun, choke, shot size, conditions and shooter. Always pattern your individual setup and hunt within your demonstrated capabilities.
LOWER CHAMBER PRESSURE
During EPIC testing and development, this load produced chamber pressures up to 30% lower than other loads tested, while maintaining its 1 3/8 oz payload and 1,350 FPS velocity.
This allows EPIC to balance payload, velocity, pattern performance and manageable recoil without simply relying on higher chamber pressure.

Our High Tensile Bismuth is designed to maintain its pellet integrity without requiring buffer, helping preserve pellet characteristics throughout the firing process and downrange.

STRAIGHT SHOT OR EPIC BLENDED LOADS
In addition to traditional straight shot sizes from #2 through #6, this load is available in two EPIC blended configurations:
#3 / #5 Blend — Combines two pellet sizes to balance pellet count, pattern density and individual pellet energy.
#2 / #4 / #6 Blend — Our three-shot-size blend combines larger, medium and smaller bismuth pellets within the same payload for another approach to balancing pellet count and downrange performance.
The goal is to give hunters more options for matching their ammunition to their shotgun, choke and hunting conditions.
